Heather Perry

Procurement Services, University of California at Santa Barbara

Heather is a Sustainable Procurement Analyst at UC Santa Barbara (UCSB). She serves as UCSB’s representative for the system-wide Sustainable Procurement Working Group, and has acted as one of the system’s primary subject matter experts for sustainability content during several RFP developments.

As a Sustainable Procurement Analyst, Heather helps set and achieve annual sustainable procurement goals for campus. She reviews campus policies and procedures for sustainable purchasing practices; researches supplier practices, product attributes, and life cycle impacts to develop sustainable product recommendations and specifications for upcoming RFPs; and analyzes category spend to evaluate future sustainable procurement opportunities.

Prior to her work for the UC, Heather completed a California State Sea Grant Fellowship working for the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission. She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from UCSB, as well as a Masters in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UCSB.
