Research Associate, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
Molly Morabito is a Research Associate at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) working on the topics of energy efficient and clean energy technologies and the implementation of improved sustainability practices in the federal government. Her research focuses on encouraging increased compliance with energy efficiency standards in federal procurement and the purchasing and adoption of clean energy technologies by California organizations in the state and private sector. Molly has a multidiscipline background in the social sciences and over three years of experience working at the nexus of civil society, research, policy and government, which inform her current work identifying possible interventions to help increase compliance with energy-efficiency requirements in federal procurement. Prior to joining Berkeley Lab, Molly received her MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Legal Studies, Economic and Government from American University. She additionally has professional experience working on clean energy policy in positions held at the Environmental Defense Fund, Citizens Climate Lobby, the Alliance to Save Energy and the U.S. Senate.
