Wellness and Engagement Manager, UC San Diego
Mona Powell is a Wellness and Engagement Manager for the Housing Dining Hospitality department at the University of California, San Diego. She has BA in Sociology University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from Point Loma Nazarene University. Mona has been with the university for 10 years starting her career in accounts receivable and resident contract management in housing. During this period she was assigned special projects that spoke to her passion in fitness and wellness, which soon developed into the creation of Wellness and Engagement a new division under UC San Diego’s Housing Dining Hospitality (HDH) that oversees wellness programs and events for residents on campus and staff in HDH. Mona is the creator and lead of WellFest the first large scale zero waste event at UC San Diego.
