Sustainable Procurement Coordinator, City of Mississauga
Natalie has experience in all sustainability factors with a current supply chain focus. She was previously Sustainability Manager at Carillion Canada, a UK based company that provided integrated support services including facilities management, roads maintenance, energy services, strategic asset management, site services, contracting services and remote workforce accommodation. In her role at Carillion, Natalie had established annual sustainability plans across 398 contracts, led the accreditation process for Carillion to achieve certified Bronze status with Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) (Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business) and implemented a vendor accreditation process for Ethical Sourcing. She holds an Associate Certificate in Environmental Management from the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and a Certified Sustainability Practitioner (CSP) designation from the Centre of Excellence in Sustainability. Natalie is currently implementing Mississauga’s Sustainable Procurement Policy and is a resource to staff in embedding sustainability factors into their procurements.
Creating a culture of sustainable procurement can be accelerated by using multiple communications channels, offering training programs, and providing ongoing mentorship and advisory support.
