Sr. Director, Procurement & Sustainability, Best Buy
Tim Meester leads the Strategic Sourcing and Category Management functions across several categories of Indirect Procurement for Best Buy, including Supply Chain, Home Delivery, Consumer and Corporate Services, Travel, Environmental Services, Enterprise Supplies, and Fleet Operations. Considering his team’s direct influence in the buying decisions for these categories, Tim has also assumed the lead role for Sustainability for Indirect Procurement at the beginning of 2015.
Best Buy has incorporated Corporate Social Responsibility as a measurable goal across all Procurement associates, thereby driving commitment and results through all indirect categories. The team is focused on three primary elements of CSR _ Environmental Sustainability, Human Rights, and Supplier Diversity.
Tim’s career has woven together leadership responsibilities across all aspects of Supply Chain, including several years with Toys ‘R’ Us before his return to Best Buy in 2011. He holds a B.A. in Information Technology Management from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN.
