Leveraging Supplier Sustainability Ratings within Public Sector & Private Sector Purchasing

Broadway I/II

Does your organization know whether its suppliers are sustainability leaders or laggards? Does it consider suppliers’ enterprise-wide sustainability management when making purchasing and supplier relationship management decisions? What are best practices for doing that in both public and private sector procurement?

SPLC members have identified third-party supplier sustainability rating tools as an important way to evaluate supplier sustainability across a large supply base, to reduce supplier survey fatigue, and to motivate meaningful supplier performance improvement. In this session, participants will hear from procurement organizations in the private and public sectors that are leveraging enterprise-level supplier sustainability ratings.
