Travel and Ground Transportation
The Portland International Airport is located approximately 12 miles away from the conference venue, the Hilton Portland Downtown. The transportation options below will help you get to the venue, as well as explore the area once you’ve arrived. The Summit has listed the options in order of most to least in carbon savings.
By Bike
Hilton Portland Downtown does offer bike racks; however, we recommend taking your bike to your room for overnight storage. If you would like to rent a bicycle, Biketown PDX offers hourly and daily options at 200+ stations throughout the city. The nearest hub to Hilton Portland Downtown is at Pioneer Square. This is a fun, easy, and affordable (not to mention sustainable) way to get around the city and often it can also be the quickest way!
Light Rail
Portland has excellent access to light rail transportation to get around the city. For more information visit the Tri Met MAX website.

Rail Line: Blue and Red
Portland International Airport (PDX) has a direct rail connection from downtown to the airport. TriMet’s Red Line offers convenient access and reliable transportation to and from the airport and provides direct access to airline check-in, baggage check and security screening at the airport.

Directions to Hilton Portland Downtown
From the Airport
Take I-205 SOUTH and exit onto I-84 WEST. At the end of I-84 West you will reach a junction of I-5 North and South. Go SOUTH toward Salem (to your left). Immediately follow the City Center signs to cross the Morrison Bridge. Head STRAIGHT through the traffic light near the end of the bridge onto SW Washington St, go 1 block then turn LEFT onto 3rd Ave. Take 3rd Ave 6 blocks then turn RIGHT onto SW Main St. Take Main 3 blocks and turn RIGHT onto 6th Ave, our front doors are on left.
From the North (Seattle) Southbound on I-5
Take exit 300B off of I-5 Southbound. After exiting, follow the City Center signs which will take you across the Morrison Bridge. Head STRAIGHT through the traffic light near the end of the bridge onto SW Washington St. Take Washington 1 block and then turn LEFT onto 3rd Avenue. Take 3rd Ave 6 blocks then turn RIGHT onto SW Main St. Take Main 3 blocks and turn RIGHT onto 6th Ave, our front doors are on left.
From the South (Salem) Northbound on I-5
Take the I-405 exit, EXIT 299B, on the LEFT toward CITY CENTER/US-26 W/BEAVERTON. Take EXIT 1A on the LEFT toward NAITO PKWY./JAPANESE-AMERICAN HIST. PLAZA. Stay STRAIGHT to go onto SW HARBOR DR. Turn RIGHT onto SW NAITO PKWY. Turn LEFT onto SW TAYLOR ST. Take TAYLOR 4 blocks and turn LEFT onto SW Broadway, LEFT on Salmon Street, LEFT on SW 6th Avenue, our front doors are on left hand side of 6th Avenue.
App-based ride share is available via Lyft or Uber. To minimize your carbon footprint, please consider the option to share your ride with others traveling to downtown.
