IlLonka (Javette) Hines is Director, SC Supplier Senior Group Manager and Head of Supply Chain Development, Inclusion and Sustainability at Citi. Javette leads Citi’s efforts to ensure the consideration and inclusion of diverse firms within Citi’s sourcing practice. She works across the firm to align supplier selection efforts with the Banking on 2030: Citi and the Sustainable Development Goals, global expansion, and more recently diversity recruitment efforts within Enterprise Supply Chain (ESC). Javette is passionate about her work in the supply chain, as well as her efforts to focus on leadership development, sustainability awareness and capacity building of diverse businesses. She was a contributor to the United Nations (UN) Women’s guide to more inclusive procurement and has engaged with UN Women over the past 2 years to provide education and insight to supply chain practices globally, consistent with several of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Javette has over 20 years of experience in procurement, leadership, diversity, contracts, and management. Prior to joining Citi, Javette worked at International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation where her responsibilities included: recruitment of supply chain talent, management of sourcing activities in the United States and globally, globalization of the supplier diversity program, software & technical services sourcing, and business and government affairs. Javette holds a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Clark Atlanta University and a Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law. Javette is on numerous boards, including the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Women Presidents’ Educational Organization (WPEO) and has led Citi to receive numerous awards. She recently joined the Women’s Leadership Board (WLB) of the Women and Public Policy Program at the Harvard Kennedy School and is a member of the NY State Bar Association, NY City Bar and the State Bar of Georgia.
